The Daily SNKCR Update

snkcr Tris here, your friendly neighborhood blogger. Have you heard about the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride? I hope you have. Heck the Barenaked Ladies hope you have too because I keep hearing them on the radio talking about it.

Now there are a bunch of men and women who are going to be riding bikes across Canada to raise money for kids with cancer and cancer research.

I’m going along for the “ride”, well kinda, I get to ride in the support vehicles. Heck I don’t even own a bike anymore.

Now my way to help is to blog. Believe me, I’m going to be blogging a lot. In fact, I’m going to be trying to blog continuously on June 20.

Now, I’m helping with words, how about you help with your feet. And legs. Oh and a pair of wheels. Yep, you can ride along too!

No, not the full way, but there are stage rides along the way that you can participate in. They are short, only 25 clicks, and all you have to do is sign up and raise a wee bit of money.

Where and how you ask? Right here—National Kids Cancer Ride » Regional and Stage Rides.

You know, maybe I’ll even be persuaded to get a bike and ride sometime.

Volunteers are the hub of this fundraising event. They contribute enthusiasm, time and skills to build a successful event for the charities we support. A wide range of capabilities are required. If you have a few hours, a few days or a few weeks to help out, we would be thrilled to hear from you.
